For Our Funders:

As a small, young nonprofit, TPRC needs your support to grow quickly and sustainably to ensure that, even in the current Texas environment so hostile to reproductive freedom, residents can control their own bodies and lives.

What Makes TPRC Different

Launched in 2024, TPRC is the only nonprofit in Texas providing unbiased, nonjudgmental, all-options pregnancy support. We envision and work toward a future where Texans of all identities and backgrounds who are or could become pregnant can easily access free, medically-accurate, culturally congruent, and unbiased information, services, and resources to ensure they can make their own decisions about what they want for their bodies and lives, free from judgment, manipulation, or coercion. We intentionally offer the same services as Texas’ 200+ Crisis Pregnancy Centers, but without their lies and manipulation to prevent people from obtaining abortions. We respect what pregnant Texans want for their lives, and we assist them with whatever that is to the full extent permitted by Texas law.

We believe in Reproductive Justice.

Reproductive Justice is the human right to control what happens to our own bodies, choose if and how to have babies, and have all we need to parent. Reproductive Justice recognizes that systemic oppression disproportionately limits reproductive autonomy for marginalized groups. Especially in a state like Texas, with a legal environment hostile to reproductive freedom, more privileged people can often still find ways to access the resources to support their reproductive choices, while oppressed people cannot.

We recognize that our services are most needed by oppressed groups.

Including people of color, immigrants, refugees, people with disabilities, people with low incomes, youth, LGBTQ people, and especially those at the intersections of these identities.   With no sex education in schools, many young Texans lack basic knowledge about their bodies. Oppressed groups disproportionately lack access to sex education, birth control, abortion, and basic needs to care for babies, leaving them in a no-win situation no matter what they truly want for their lives. Abortion is illegal, so unwanted pregnancies can be fraught with fear and stress.

Yet the only places most pregnant Texans know of to go to for pregnancy tests, sonograms, counseling, and after-abortion care are Crisis Pregnancy Centers that pretend to offer help, but actually exist only to use medically-inaccurate lies and other unethical tactics to manipulate people to continue pregnancies. TPRC strives to educate people about the true agenda of Crisis Pregnancy Centers and to provide an alternative of unbiased, all-options support.

We strive to ensure our services are accessible and comfortable.

Our clients include Texans of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, ages, religions, and any other characteristics. We strive not to make assumptions about anyone who comes to us and to treat all with dignity, compassion, and nonjudgment.

We aim to build a diverse team.

Our team has the lived experience and expertise to understand the people we serve, and we are exploring non-hierarchical models of collective organizational leadership. Currently, we have a full-time counselor with an LPC, a part-time Interim Executive Director (while we consider possible leadership models), and a small working board.

We believe in transparency.
